BECCA cosmetics always gives off an effortlessly chic and feminine vibe I adore, whether it be a 70’s Flower Child, modern day Surfer Girl or a Natural Beauty. Earthy, natural, flattering tones combine with superb quality and unique packaging to make every girl feel pretty.
Two more outstanding products have been added to the line, Songbird and Gypsy Mineral Blushes ($32). These are, soft, pigmented and glowy. They never look chalky or heavy, but bring a beautiful radiance to the face. They are very finely milled and comparable to high-end luxury brands–I’m talking Chanel, Dior, Chantecaille to name a few. The texture of the powder makes application easy–one swipe is all you need and the blush melts into your skin leaving behind a natural, glowy flush. If you are fair like me, use a skunk or stippling brush to prevent clown cheeks–they are that pigmented!
Songbird is a peachy pink (similar to Flowerchild without the gold) and Gypsy is a ballerina pink with golden sheen. I usually don’t like blushes with shimmer, especially for us over 40 gals, but as usual BECCA is the exception to the rule. This is very, very micro-shimmer which results in a luminous, healthy luster rather than sparkle– ideal for us over 40 women. I adore Songbird, the shade is universally flattering shade that gives a natural, healthy flush to the face. I think it will work on all skin tones by varying the intensity. It’s a staple of mine already! Gypsy is a delicate pink with a stunning golden sheen that brings a soft, warm glow to the face.
BECCA’s mineral blushes are infused with anti-oxidants (Vitamin A, E and C) and a natural mineral complex with mica which I’m sure explains why they glow. They do not contain parabens, oils, talc or fillers.
I really think these blushes speak for the line beautifully–fresh, natural and effortlessly feminine. In my opinion, they are over 40 must-haves to recapture that brilliant radiant glow of youth!
