Beauty Junkees Eye Makeup Brush Kit!

Julia Ritzenthaler, Founder and Chief Junkee of Beauty Junkees Inc., was inspired to start the company after getting a professional makeup application at age 40 and realizing how much she didn’t know about makeup and skin care. I can totally relate to Julia because that is EXACTLY why I started Prime Beauty, to give women over 40 information about how to use makeup and what products are worth their hard-earned money.

Up to now, I’ve only tried Beauty Junkees makeup products, mostly eyeshadows so I was thrilled to be able to test the makeup brushes they are famous for. I was sent the 8-pc. Pro Series Eye Makeup Brush Kit and Case ($24.97).

The kit contains:

  • Pencil brush
  • Tapered Blending brush
  • All Over Shader brush
  • Precision Eye Liner
  • Angled Shading brush
  • Flat Definer
  • Blending brush
  • Crease brush
  • BONUS Makeup Brush Case

All the brushes work with powders, creams, liquids and minerals. They feature a double crimped copper ferrule so they stay on the solid wood handles and they don’t shed! There is a mix of natural and synthetic bristles in the collection. I really love that each brush is labeled with its intended use right on the handle making it super easy to reach for the correct brush.

Don’t forget about the cute makeup bag you receive with this brush collection! It’s a beautiful pebbled black leather with a fun hot pink lining.

These brushes pick up a lot of eyeshadow, packing on the color, but they can also cause some fallout, so shake or tap off the excess for best results. Now that I’m older, I prefer longer bristles because they don’t drag or pull on my crepey lids. I can say Beauty Junkee brushes compare nicely to my more expensive brushes and you certainly can NOT beat the price for this set! This set is all you need to create natural, dramatic and defined eyes!

pro Pencil: Best used for smudging liners or applying shadow along the top and lower lash line, creating a smokey effect. Also great for defining the outer V or the crease.

pro Tapered Blending: Designed for applying and blending a transition color base shadow into the crease of the eyelid for a soft finish.

pro All Over Shader: The dense rounded bristles are designed to pack shadow over entire eyelid for a smooth and even finish.

pro Precision Eye Liner: Designed for applying a tight line to the upper and lower eyelash lines using liquid, gel, cream or powders.

pro Angled Shading: Best used for applying product to the brow bone. Makes highlighting quick and easy. Also works great to blend color into the crease.

pro Flat Definer: Best used to create a sharp and precise line on the upper or lower lash lines with gel, cream or powder liners.

pro Blending: Created for precision blending powder shadows and buffing harsh lines for a smoother, well-blended effect.

pro Crease: Best used to apply shadow in the eyelid crease for a soft diffused effect to the eyes.

I’m so impressed with these brushes I asked the kind people at Beauty Junkees if they would give away a set to one lucky Prime Beauty and not only did they agree, but wanted to throw an eyeshadow quad in too!  Winners will be picked at random through the Rafflecopter widget. The giveaway is limited to US residents 18 and over and will end on August 28th, 2017 at midnight PT. Follow the mandatory tasks on the Rafflecopter widget to enter to win.
