Beauty Discoveries from CosmoProf 2017: Part 2

CosmoProf is a Cosmetics Trade Show only for professionals and not open to the public. I’ve been invited for many years and this year I decided I wasn’t going to miss out on the fun. Check out Part 1 here.

There are 3 things I learned at CosmoProf: 1) there are more beauty brands that I ever imagined 2) I need to get in better shape for all the walking next year and 3) underboob sweat is real, at least in July in Las Vegas.  Aside from too much walking and too much sweating, it was fabulous! Let’s take a look at some of the amazing products I discovered at CosmoProf!

The Sphynx 3-in-1 razor ($14.99) is a genius product! Made for travel, this portable razor contains a spray bottle, pre-shave balm and 2 razors all in this adorable disc! Add water to the spray bottle (it pops out of the disc) and spray on legs (or desired area), rotate the center dial to the moisturizing shave bar and lather generously. Rotate to razor and shave! The disc comes with 2 razors and can be refilled. Refill packs are available at www.shopsphynx.com

Spoolies are hair curlers that use no heat or chemicals. pin, clips and cause no damage. These silicone rollers come in pink for smaller curls and blue for beachy waves. You can, however, create spiral ringlets, pin curls or any number of curls. These are designed to be used on DRY hair. Just place the end of the curler against your head and wind a strand of hair around the spool. The curler then folds in over top to hold securely. I use them from mid-strand instead of the top of my head for loose curls and against my head for tighter curls. They are SO easy to use! I received a box of 24 pink curlers and I’m going to buy a set of blue curler also for bigger waves.  I’m actually amazed at how well these work on my fine hair! They are super comfortable too! Available at Ulta Beauty!

This is using the pink size from mid shaft of hair down on dry hair. It’s not perfect, but not bad for my first try! I  only kept the curlers in for a few hours. My hair is hard to curl so I thought these would work better on wet hair. I used the small pink size and wound them tight to my head and slept on them. I woke up to Little Orphan Annie! Seriously, follow directions and use on dry hair girls!

These are so easy I don’t even need a mirror to put them in! I do want the get a full set of the blue curlers and try them for looser curls.  Spoolies can be found at www.spoolies.com or on the shopping channel Evine.

Cle Melting Lip Powder ($19.99) – Cle Cosmetics Melting Lip Powder is an innovative new lip product that transforms as you wear it from powder to a long-wearing tint that provides you a true matte finish. This amazing product can also be used as a cheek tint, just dab a bit on the area and blend with fingers. Available in 5 shades.

Pre-Heels ($22.99) is an aerosolized spray that molds to the shape of your foot and forms a strong, flexible coating that acts like a band-aid to prevent blisters and friction from your shoes. One quick spray prevents blisters! This spray creates an invisible barrier that conforms perfectly to the unique shape of your foot to provide optimal coverage anywhere you need it. It stays in place, provides a full 6+ hours of long-lasting protection from blisters, irritation, cuts, hot spots and chafing. Finally, heels don’t have to hurt! I tried to take pictures but since it’s invisible it’s hard to capture on camera! My only complaint is that it can be hard to remove–it takes quite a bit of rubbing. Takes 30% off on orders over $30 with code 30OVER30. Also available in a mini-size for $14.99.

Sage Machado is the owner, founder, and designer of Sage, a niche perfume, candle, and jewelry company. Sage is LA’s best kept secret. Jeweler designer, perfumer, boutique owner, artist, and entrepreneur Sage Machado has been creating one of a kind handcrafted jewelry, perfumes, candles and clothing for 23 years. Her secret: Traveling the world to find inspiration.

Sage’s unique fragrances are hand blended using only the highest quality essential and fragrance oils. Whilst developing each scent, Sage researched the history of each gemstone to find flowers and essences to evoke the color and mood of the gemstone itself. There is a scent for each gemstone, I chose Pearl.

“A Pearl is a lustrous fragrance that adorns the wearer with an aura of inviting beauty. Inspired by those captivating organic stones that oysters and mollusks have offered humankind since time immemorial, it is both delicate and enduring. The fragrance’s full, round base note accord of meditative sandalwood and fresh musk accented with warm vanilla and fresh, green mousse de chene suggests the innocence and spiritual purity that pearls have long represented.”

This is a soft, feminine, perfume oil that makes me feel so special. Each of Sage’s fragrances is presented in a handmade Japanese Washi paper tube she imports from Japan making each one unique.

Sage also makes her own one-of-a-kind jewelry. She is a delight and a true artisan!

Feather and Bone Face Gems Face Wash is an exfoliating face wash packaged in an easy to travel tablets! Just pop one out of the package, drop into your hand, add 5-10 drops of water and apply pressure on the tablet to dissolve it and form a paste. Massage into your face and rinse! Each tablet is made from 3 Ayuveda ingredients:

Fullers Earth to remove dirt and impurities, Sandalwood to protect pores and give a feeling of freshness and Starch to polish your face.

I hope you enjoyed discovering these new products as much as I did!

Those cutlers are so cool. I have naturally curly hair which I straighten, but my mom always used curlers and they were the old fashioned kind.
