Apothica Giftcard Giveaway! Featuring Paul and Joe Beaute Cosmetics

One of my favorite Indie brands is Paul and Joe Beaute. Paul and Joe Beaute is girly, whimsical, cheerful, and just plain cute. It is NOT a makeup line for only the young–the young at heart will love it too.  Although many items in the line contain shimmer, they are never glittery or tacky–the shimmer is more refined. There are no glaringly bright colors in the line,  just pretty neutrals and colorful selections.

I don’t own a lot of Paul and Joe, but what I do have I absolutely adore. I will highlight a few of my favorite things a la’ Oprah.

Paul and Joe Lipstick in Morocco ($20) – From the Sahara Summer 2010 Collection, I love everything about this lipstick! A warm pink with golden shimmer, Morocco was a summer staple for me last year as I’m sure it will be again this summer. There is quite a bit of shimmer but it stops short of frost which gives it a lovely sheen. It is semi-sheer and has a nice glossy finish. Packaged in the often irrestible style of Paul and Joe, the flowers on the tube are inspired by lotus flowers–too cute!

My friend JoeyBunny introduced me to the Paul and Joe eye color palettes and I just had to have them after listening to her rave. They are packaged in the sweetest floral design, but Joey does a much better job at describing them so I’ll let her!

Eye Colour Palettes in Ingenue 001 and Starlet 002. These were limited edition eyeshadow trios but may still be available. These palettes are both neutral, with Ingenue 001 being more neutral-warm and Starlet 002 being more neutral-cool. There is a gorgeous satiny highlight shade (Ingenue has an ivory-beige and Starlet has a pale pink), a glowy and shimmery lid shade (both are taupe! Ingenue has a brown-taupe and Starlet has a pretty plum-taupe), and a satin crease/liner shade (Ingenue has a dark brown and Starlet has a deep plum). These palettes are gorgeous and versatile and can take you from day to night. They retail for $38 and are definitely worth the investment.

Paul and Joe Lip Lacquer ($20) – These are supah dupah shiny; wet, juicy shiny! Although the color in the tube looks bold, they apply very sheer. They are formulated botanical oils and extracts–olive oil, apricot kernel oil, orange flower water and arnica montana flower extract leavinag lips soft and moist without being too sticky. Lip Lacquer is gorgeous when used alone, and also works well when layered with another lip shade for a completely original hue.
