She Wears it Well is Anastasia’s new mirrored palette of nine, pigment-rich matte and shimmer shadows in nude and neutral shades that impart a sophisticated smolder to the eyes. Nude meets knockout with this pretty palette, which was inspired by classic Hollywood glamour with modern moxie. No matter how you wear them, you’re sure to wear them well.
I know what you’re thinking —“not another nude eye shadow palette!” That was first reaction too; the Queen of Neutrals wasn’t that excited about another nude/neutral eye shadow palette but I quickly changed my mind when I swatched this palette. She Wears It Well is different. Excellent pigmentation, a good mix of shimmer and matte shades and superb quality. Anastasia of Beverly Hills is such an underrated brand but a good friend to the over 40 woman. Trust me.
My press sample came with five darling instruction cards with “glamour” ladies on the front and on the reverse side, a “how to” for each look.
The five looks are: “Eyes and Dolls” for anytime eyes, “Cat’s Meow” for the perfect cat eye, “Cut a Rug” for a classic cut crease, “Night Owl” for a knockout smokey eye and “Speakeasy” for a nighttime ombre eye. The cards are very helpful with detailed instructions for each look.
Let’s take a look at the shades in She Wears It Well.
Trophy – a shimmery light taupe
Glow – a shimmery medium peachy/bronze–a favorite!
Latte – a shimmery pale taupe/nude
Foxy – a shimmery intense copper–one my favs!
Sunset – a peachy gold–one of my favs!
Frosting – a semi shimmery pale pink
Almond – a matte nude/flesh color–sorry I couldn’t get it to show up in pics
Onyx – a matte black
Toffee – a matte medium brown–I could see this being used as a brow shade too
These shadows are soft, smooth and blendable. The pigment is amazing and the quality is incredible! Anastasia’s Illumin8 formula features Youthful Synergy Complex®, clinically proven to illuminate, firm, and hydrate the skin. There is no creasing or fading–the swatches in the pictures don’t even have primer underneath. All these qualities make this palette worth having.
The packaging looks like a classic book. There is a double ended brush that is actually usable–one end is a crease brush, the other an all-over shadow brush. A full sized mirror is included.
All the shades can be used wet or dry to change up your look.
Here’s a look at Cat’s Meow–The Perfect Cat Eye using Frosting and Onyx:
This is a great neutral/nude palette and a very affordable $34 price point. The packaging is good, the quality excellent. She Wears It Well is worth a look even if you do already own a nude eye shadow palette.
