I don’t know about you, but I’m really not that fond of waterproof mascaras. They always leave my lashes feeling ‘crunchy’ and most seem to clump—a LOT. Wouldn’t it be great if you could take your favorite mascara and transform it into a waterproof formula? Well your wish has been granted! Anastasia of Beverly Hills, the famous brow expert, has developed Lash Genius ($21), revolutionary mascara ‘top coat’ that waterproofs any mascara! It’s not in stores yet, but will be available at Sephora in May.
You simply apply Lash Genius over the top of any mascara and it instantly waterproofs it while leaving your lashes full and fluffy. The serum is clear and colorless and does not clump or flake—unlike most waterproof mascaras! Since it’s clear, it’s kind of hard to determine if you’ve covered all your lashes, but that’s not a real issue. I tested it by splashing water on my face and there was no running, smudging or drying of my lashes. The waterproofing doesn’t wear off; it lasts all day until you take it off with makeup remover.
Packaging is a common mascara tube, but it’s pretty generous and should last a long time. I would imagine you need to buy a new tube every three months as with regular mascara.
Overall Thoughts: I think this is a great idea! Now you don’t have to sacrifice the health of your lashes to keep your mascara on in the hot and humid summer months or while swimming, exercising or just plain sweating—er, I mean glistening J The tube is large enough (5.5 grams) to last you all summer, you can use any mascara with it and at $21 the price is not outrageous.

Great idea. This way you still use your favorite mascara and get the waterproofing. Especially great for any makeup artists doing brides!
