Anastasia Beauty Express Kit Giveaway!

Anastasia Soare can be called a brow maven;  for years she has shaped the brows of Hollywood’s elite in her Beverly Hills Salon. Over the years she has achieved iconic status in the beauty industry for her unique way of shaping the eyebrows and enhancing the eye area. Brows are often overlooked or not cared for (believe me, I’m guilty) but brows frame the not only the eyes but can bring attention to the whole face. I used to get my brows done at the Anastasia bar at Nordstrom, but they discontinued the service to make space for more makeup brands. My dream is to go to Anastasia’s Beverly Hills store and have a consultation with her; I think my brows are lopsided and I don’t know what to do about it other than permanently tilt my head.  Thanks be to the makeup gods for Anastasia’s signature line to help me achieve symmetry.

The Anastasia Beauty Express Kit ($38) –  has everything you need to create the Anastasia look at home. The kit includes:

  • Brow Wax Cream
  • Eyeshadow Duo
  • 2  Brow Powders
  • 5 brow stencils
  • Angled brush

Using the kit is easy–just 5 steps:

1. SELECT THE STENCIL that fits the most of your natural brow hair through the cutout. Align stencil with points “A” and “B”, making sure the top burgundy line rests parallel on the forehead. A is the point through the center of the nostril directly up to where it intersects the end point of the stencil cutout. B is the point through the edge of the nose diagonally to the opposite end of the stencil cutout. The Medium Arch stencil was the one that matched my natural arch the best. If the stencil doesn’t match exactly, you’ll know where to fill in or pluck.

2. APPLY THE BROW WAX CREAM using the brow brush first to help the brow powder adhere. Clean brush of any excess wax.

3. ALIGN THE STENCIL TO BROW and apply brow powder to the open area using the brow brush.

4. REMOVE THE STENCIL and tweeze hair outside the powdered area. I didn’t do this step in these pictures.

5. APPLY SHADOW to enhance brow bone, lids and inner corners of eyes. The kit comes with both matte and shimmery champagne eyeshadows. I used the matte as a base and then applied the shimmer shade from lash line all the way up to the eyebrow.

The stencils are a fabulous idea, especially for women over 40 who may have overplucked or are experiencing thinning brows. I’ve never had my brows professionally shaped and I like said, they have always felt lopsided to me, so the stencils are a very useful tool for me. After trying them out, the Medium Arch stencil is the one that mimics my natural brow line the best. The brush is fantastic! The angle is perfection, it’s stiff enough to stand up to coarse brow hair but not so stiff it’s uncomfortable. I finished my eyes with the Stila Smudge Stick eyeliner in Blue Ribbon and Chanel Inimitable Intense mascara in black.

  • I’ve never used a stencil. I bought some for my mom but never for me!

    • cindy

You should try them Marcia–they really make a difference and are super easy to use!

  • I am currently using EF Studio brow products and I absolutely LOVE them. But, I am always looking to try new (good) products 🙂

  • I only recently started filling in my brows, I am such a noob! This would be perfect for me!

  • I only tweet my eyebrows and occasionally use an eye brow brush. I get them waxed about every 6 months just to clean them up and give me a baseline

  • I used to get my eye brows waxed every 6 weeks or so but I stopped because I really couldn’t dedicate the time or the money once my oldest started school in 2009. Now, I just use one of those little eyebrow razors to clean up strays beneath the brow. My brows are starting to thin a bit too…

  • That seems like a really nifty kit! Would love to try it out!

  • Karen

I hate my eyebrow pencil, would love to try this one.

  • Elizabeth

I’m using the lightest shade in the milani brow fix for blondes but it’s just meh. I’d love to try Anastasia!

  • Pam

I use a Rimmel eyebrow pencil on my “over-plucked” 🙁 brows. I have looked and wished and looked and wished for this kit. It looks incredible.

  • Jennifer

I’m currently going back and forth between Smashbox Brow Tech to go or IT cosmetics brow pencil which I really like. I would love to try the stencils and the Anatasia brow system.

    • cindy

I like both of those, but I really like these stencils and the fact that you can blend the brow powders to your shade.

  • colleen b

right now i’m not using any brow products.

I’m using Smashbox “Brow Tech to go” twist up wax pencil and I like it, but I’ve always dreamt of having someone like Anastasia do my brows.

  • Lisa

I’ve never used any brow products. I had by brows shaped with electrolysis, but they are thinning and I have been considering trying brow products. I’d like to try out the Anastasia line!

  • I occasionally tweeze, and when I make time, I fill them in a bit with Wet N Wild’s Taupe Pencil.

  • Angela

I really need help with my brows, what there is left of them! After menopause, most of my brows went away. I have about 3 brow hairs on each brow. I use It brow pencil now which is not bad.

  • VictoriaN

I use the the ELF brow powder kit. I really need a good product because my brows are thinning and going grey. I would love to try the Anastasia brow kit!

  • Jennifer P

I am using Bare Minerals and no I’m not satisfied. One brow is lower than the other. The templates are a fantastic idea! Get the right shape and your almost home free!

I have no eyebrows due to two bouts with cancer several years ago and a dysfunctional thyroid. I have been using a blonde Maybelline eyebrow pencil (the traditional, red wooden one) to draw on my brows and lightly brushing plain old face powder over it to set them for many years. I would like to find a better, more natural-looking way to do this that would not smear quite so easily. Thank you for offering this prize.

  • Hofken

I currently use Anastasia – I love the stencils!

  • emmy

I have never done my brows before this is perfect<3!!! THANK YOU:)

  • Mariee

I’m not really using any brow products right now, I usually just tweeze them and leave them as they are. Sometimes I use a little bit of vaseline to shape them.

I use Milani’s eyebrow kit. It comes with a light and dark brown brow filler and a highlighter for the brow bone, also tweezers, a small stiff brush (which I love) and a small sponge eye shadow applicator. I don’t remember exactly what I paid for it, I think around $10 maybe, but whatever it was it was totally worth it. I have been using this for a long time and love it. It looks natural, does not come off until I wash it off and it has seemed to last me forever. I would love to try the Anastasia Kit and see if it’s even better than my cheapo find!!

  • Mai

Right now I’m using Wet n Wild’s ColorIcon eyeliner in Mink Brown for my brows. I like the color but I’d like to find it on powder form as opposed to an eyeliner form!

  • lisa

I currently just use a little brown shadow to fill in my brows. i could be doing more. i would love to win this!

  • Virginia

I’m currently using a light brown eyeshadow to fill in my brows. I like it, but I would like to try these stencils to help shape my brows.

  • Shanna

Currently I’m using a variety of brown shadows from MAC right fill in my sadly overplucked brows. I’m still hoping they’ll grow back in!

  • what a great kit

  • i currently just use my tweezer man tweezers and i am satisfied for the most part

  • layla

wow! would love to win this! 🙂 never used a stencil before! to groom my eyebrows, i usually book an apointment at my beauty parlour and get them threaded. like twice in a year.. and in between, i just tweeze them

  • Kristi

I have brow powder from Silk Naturals, WNW Taupe pencil & a clear wax tube. I always use the clear wax to make my brows lay down but don’t consistently use the colored pencil or the powder. I’ve had my eyebrows done before but ended up so lopsided that I haven’t been brave enough to find someone who did a great job. Your brows look great in the after pic.

  • Rae

I have been growing my brows out after some major summer overplucking, so right now I am defining the shape and filling in the patchy spots with Mary kay’s blonde eyebrow pencil. Despite my super dark hair and brows, my skin is so pale anything but the Boone pencil looks awful.

I have been neglecting my brows and now suffering for it. I am very relieved to find a post that shows advice on the proper care of the brows. I think it is time I put some care and attention into them. Thank you for the advices and this great beauty kit.

  • angela

I just use a pencil and it doesn’t really do much for my brows. I’d love to try this kit!

  • I am using Wet & Wild Arch Envy and I’m kinda satisfied somehow but I want to try Anastasia! Their stencils are very detailed. <3

  • my brows are seriously lacking… i dont use anything on them now but tweezers!

  • shala_darkstone

Currently I’m using Maybelline Define-A-Brow and I’m mostly happy with it. It’s just a tad too dark though.

  • Nina

I love Anastasia products! They never fail to make my brows look significantly better.

  • Doralis González

All I use now is a brow gel, which does it’s job at keeping my brows in place, not don’t help with color or shape. Thank you!

  • Jackie

I don’t use anything right now, but this kit could be the start! >:3

  • Julie L

OMG! My weak wimpy brows NEED this kit!

  • Elise

Actually I’m not using any brow products right now, except for my trusty tweezers. I’ve been meaning to try a brown pencil to fill them in, but haven’t sought out a good one.

  • Erin

I love the idea of a stencil. I have no idea what to do with my eyebrows!

  • I don’t use any brow products, just fill in my brows with a matching eyeshadow. But I’m not satisfied with how it looks.

  • Dawn H.

I am currently using a MAC Lingering Brow Pencil, which is working ok, but I have yet to find a perfect match for my blondish/brown brows.

  • Renee B

At my job, we are talking about doing outreach to local nursing homes. I would love to give the ladies make-overs. A lot of them spent a lifetime plucking their brows away to nothing! I’d love to try this kit out on them

  • Right now, I’m using the ELF Studio Brow Kit. I’m happy with it but I would LOVE to try the Anastasia Beauty Express Kit !! I want to experience the Anastasia Brows myself! (:
